HISTORY AND THE CHALLENGE
The small Middle Eastern state of Qatar has formed an Olympic committee to improve its sporting facilities to support the state’s future bid for the Olympics.
Part of the initial upgrade is to purchase a mobile rebound board run for their handball facility of which Sportsafe has the patent rights. The initial purchase is just the tip of the iceberg for Qatar and will result in further significant orders from the Country. Sportsafe are currently quoting for other equipment which will be required in the coming months.
THE SOLUTION
After receiving the initial enquiry our sales and installation team gave the Qatari team all the relevant pricing and specifications for the rebound run.
The team from Qatar then carried out a feasibility study of their facility and decided the run would be exactly what was required for their facility. With its robust structure and ease of mobility the mobile run proved to be ideal for the handball facility. Manufacture of the rebound run went according to plan and the run was manufactured to on time allowing the customer to ship the complete run to their country with the maximum of ease.
THE OUTCOME
Having been in possession of the rebound run for some weeks the feedback has been very positive. Having used a static run in the existing facility the staff are amazed at the ease and speed at which the run can be installed and dismantled. Where in the past it took three to four people to mount the heavy static boards and posts the run can now be moved with just one person. The purchase has firmly put Sportsafe in Qatar’s mind as the premier supplier of sports equipment for their Olympic bid.
